The Long Delayed Custom Card of the Day!

My computer is back up and running, which means the customs continue! That means I can start posting cards of the playoff teams, like the Rangers, Giants, and (ugh) Rays.

Mike Sweeney was always seen as a big strong guy who could hit home runs, generally in the same category as Frank Thomas and Jim Thome. He was famous for the Royals, and then he flew into the rest of the AL West, bopping between the A's and the Mariners. Just this August he was signed by the Phillies, and even though he hasn't been getting much playing time, he's still a remarkable asset to a remarkable team.

Tomorrow- He was a hit with the Cubs, and now he's a hit with the Braves. Too bad the playoffs aren't in his future.

Clinched

For the 2nd year in a row, both my favorite teams (The Yankees and the Phillies), have garnered a playoff spot. The Yankees did it last night, with CC's 21st win (Does winning 20 games still mean anything anymore?). The Phils did it a few nights ago, with a spectacular win. Does this mean it could be another Yanks-Phils World Series? I don't know.

The Reds and the Rays also clinched. The Rays, I ain't too happy about. Sure, they're no Boston, but they're like an annoying little sister who won't stop bothering you with her drawings (which thankfully, as an only child, I have yet to experience). And if this means that the Yankees will have to play the Rays, I won't be any happier.

The other divisions I don't care as much about. I'm just hoping the Giants clinch the NL West, just because since I saw them play a few months back, they've really resonated as a good team. And for Thome's sake, I hope the Twins clinch, and I hope Jim Thome can retire on a good note. Or he can keep playing, whatever he feels like.

All I know is this going to be one wild October

The 2011 Sellsheet- What I think

Because it's early, and I'm feeling better, and I gotta post something, I'm going to review every insert on that sellsheet for next year's Topps.

Those Diamond Anniversary Paralells- Not likin em. Sure, they look nice, but there's a snowball's chance in hell that anybody'll ever get one.

Topps 60- Mixed. Wow yet another insert set chronicling the best of current and former players. Sounds a hell of a lot like Peak Performances, eh? But still, looks like a decent idea.

Kimball's Champions- Not liking them. I've never been a fan of minis. So another insert with a bunch of minis, not on my favorie things list.

60th Anniversary Reprints- Mixed. Yeah, this insert set should be retitled "Night of the Living Cards your mother threw out". Seriously, it's the exact same concept, only I think there are different cards (least I hope so).

Diamond Duos- Mixed. Legendary Lineage, Act II. This is like Lineage, only with cool matchups. Looks okay.

The Lost Cards- Liking Them. Seem like a good idea, filling the gaps on the early 50's sets. Just one problem- what about everything else. I'd love to see a 1983 Don Mattingly card, or a 2007 Nomar Garciaparra card (or 08 and 09 in that matter) or maybe all those final tributes us customizers have wanted so much for certain players.

History of Topps- Mixed. History of the game, Act II.

Pre-52 Reproduction Cards- Liking it. Looks like a cool concept, cards from before Topps. That outta please the Babe Ruth fans.

Diamond Giveaway- Liking it (somehow). I know, it's another way for Topps to get rid of all those cards from the Million Dollar Giveaway, but this comes with its added perks- cards with actual diamonds in them, and die cuts that can only be achieved through the site. Sounds like an interesting concept.

The Return of Toppstown- Liking it. Just as long as they bring back the every card opens 10 cyber cards thing from this year.

Overall, looks like a down year for Topps. 2001 had so many interesting inserts, and now Topps is just repeating itself.

The Philly Show- Yo Mammas and Chicle galore

Today was yet another Philly Show in Valley Forge...which ultimately means my schedule was booked for a few hours to go to the show. What I found was a bunch of rookies and hits, but here were the highlights-

The Free Signer was Former Philly closer Ricky Bottalico. Unfortunately, I had no Bottalico cards from the 90's (that I could find), so I just bought a picture at the show, and he signed it. Nice guy.

I scored a bunch of National Chicle from a particular dealer. Here it is (sorted by artist)

Felix- Gavin Floy, Phil Rizzuto
Farr- Big Poopi, Michael Brantley
Henderson- Jose Lopez, Andrew Bailey
Higgins- Jake Peavy, Carlos Pena
Lempa- Colby Rasmus, Aramis Ramirez, Josh Johnson, Luis Durango
Sheldon- Brian McCann, Ken Griffey, Chipper Jones, Jimmy Foxx
Kong- Troy Tulowitski, Joe Mauer, Carlton Fisk, Reggie Jackson, Nick Swisher
Davies- Justin Verlander, Johnny Mize, Juan Fransisco, Lou Gehrig, Ian Desmond
Branch- Alex Gordon, Robinson Cano, Brad Hawpe, James Loney, Jair Jurjens, Edinson Volquez, Stephen Drew
Zachowski- Gordon Beckham, Andy Pettite, Ted Lilly, Ryan Zimmerman, Evan Longoria, Tobi Stoner, Dan Uggla
Hoebrecht- Josh Beckett, David Wright, Hunter Pence, Kosuke Fukudome, Joey Votto, Josh Thole, Mel Ott
Kupka- Ernie Banks, Willie McCovey, Jorge Posada, Mariano Rivera, Walter Johnson, Pee-Wee Reese, Jose Reyes, Jason Bartlett, Joel Piniero, Alex Rios

I also got a bunch of CYMTO, and they're all Series 2.

1952 Phil Rizzuto
1955 Yogi Berra
1958 Duke Snider
1959 Warren Spahn
1960 Willie McCovey
1971 Frank Robinson
1972 Juan Marichal
1973 Reggie Jackson
1974 Willie McCovey
1983 Tony Gwynn
1990 Frank Thomas no name
1993 Ozzie Smith
2005 Andre Ethier

And the biggest part was the 2 game useds I got. I got one 2009 Sweet Spot Dave Winfield, and a Phil Niekro on the Yankees that I can't remember the set.

All in all, great show.

Crap Happens (Especially to me)

I woke up this morning with a stuffed up nose, a dry, itchy throat and about 3 hours of sleep. I thought to myself, "this is not the way I want to start a day"

Of course, thing got worse, like they usually do. Once I woke up 3 hours later, I found out that my mom had gone out, and taken the computer with her, because it needed repairs. All of my customs for the week were in there.

I now sit, on my mom's laptop, drinking tea and using up tissues, looking forward to the terrible day I have today. Hopefully my computer will be fixed sometime in the weekend. Hopefully.

So no customs for a few days, sorry. I know that's the only reason you all come to my blog, cause I don't make trade offers (and because of that, nobody's given ME any offers), and I don't have contests (In the next week or so, that might change...).

In a few days I'll give ya that Sweeney custom, when the computer, and me, heal from our sicknesses.

Swish

Yeah, I know. A Swisher custom is LOOOOONG overdue, being that his awesomeness in the outfield has held on for months now. The Yanks are 10 games into 1st place, and this guy is basically the reason.

He hits! He throws! He catches! He scores! He's amazing. It's weird that this guy was so trashed before he came to the Yanks, and now he's an All Star, and a Yankee favorite. So a big time team made a zero a superstar. Just like the Phillies did to Jayson Werth.

Coming Tomorrow- A Philly player who doesn't get much playing time, doesn't really have solid position, and most people don't even know he's on the Phillies. But he's still a former all star and big hitter. Mike Sweeney gets a custom tomorrow.

Custom Card of the Day- Mig-Cab Edition

Sorry I couldn't post yesterday- Blogger was against me and couldn't let me upload a picture. I was pissed, but I still posted the card today.

Miguel Cabrera was having a monster 2010 even if his team wasn't. He basically outshone everyone on the team whose name didn't rhyme with Shmaustin Shmackson. And that alone is noteworthy. I mean, when he and Dontrelle Willis came to the Tigers a few years back, the expectations were "Aw yeah. They're gonna take them to the World Series, and then they'll be awesome". Sadly, their 2008 season sucked.

Now, out of the 2 guys that came to Detroit from Florida, one is playing in the minors in San Francisco, wondering where the hell it all went wrong, and the other is playing beautifully for the Tigers. Even if they're not.

Coming Tomorrow- I gotta go make some more customs. Tomorrow's will probably be a certain Yankee outfielder (Whose name isn't Granderson), who's been crushing the ball lately.

Custom Card of the Day- Zim Edition

I've never been very fond of the 78 design, and that's why I don't use it that much. Of course, when I have to, I will. It's pretty easy to customize. Zimmerman over here, unlike the 78 design, I'll do when I can, and when he's hot. I don't think the Nationals are as hot as they were in March, but Zimmerman's still pretty good.

I was hoping for a throwback uniform for Zim to be in, to complete the whole Expos thing, but I couldn't find one.

Tomorrow- One Cabrera who deserves a custom...and sorry Dayf, but it ain't Melky

Sunday, September 19, 2010

Custom Card of the Day- Pronk Edition

I realized quite recently that I hadn't posted an Indian all year, and the only one I attempted to post was right before my Febuary hiatus. I promised Grady. He got hurt.

Of course, Hafner's doing Okay. He's not dragging Cleveland to the playoffs like a guy carrying a truck. using his body strength. And he's not having a monster season (You think that if anyone was having a great season in Cleveland, would they be in the same place they are now?). But he's still playing the game. And this week, I'm pretty much knocking off teams who haven't had a custom made yet. I just did Bailey, and with Pronk there's a team I don't have to worry about.

Tomorrow- Even though I already did one from the Nationals, Ryan Zimmerman is on the way.

Saturday, September 18, 2010

Custom Card of the Day- Lilly Edition

Yeah, it's another card of a Dodger. And it's also a Night Card. It's not kissing up, I just needed to make a custom of this guy, since I hadn't when he was on the Cubs.

Ted Lilly was the Cubs' best pitcher for the past few years. Then he moved to the Dodgers. Well, it was pretty easy for him to strengthen the pitching staff of Billingsley, Kershaw, Padilla and Kuroda.

Even though the Dodgers probably aren't going to make the playoffs, they can still say that this guy will help them get there in 2011.

Coming Tomorrow- Because Grady's hurt and Westbrook's gone, the Indians got this guy to rely on.

My morning

I wake up at 6:00 AM after a 6 hour sleep. I say "screw it" and go back to bed.

I wake up at 11:30 AM after a 12 hour sleep. That's more like it. I get out of bed and turn on the computer.

I go on practically all the big newsblogs.

I see this-
And suddenly, today would be a good day.
Let's get it out of the way- this is a damn good design. Better than this year's, dare I say it. I do say, it looks a HELL of a lot like a mid-2000's Sweet Spot design.
The fact that I'm getting excited for the new Topps 2011 set and not the Update set for this year is amazing on its own.

Thursday, September 16, 2010

Custom Card of the Day- Bailey Edition

I really don't have too much to say about Bailey. He won the Rookie of the Year last year, and he made the All Star Game this year, but he's still on the A's, and they're still vying for last. But Bailey's a good player.

Sorry about the lack of words. I have a long day ahead of me, and I'm tired already.

Tomorrow- Throwing out another Dodger because I care. Ted Lilly is tomorrow's custom.

400

I know I said yesterday that I'd post Andrew Bailey, but this morning I saw that this would be my four hundreth post. So naturally, I put up a Yankee. I know most of you hate A-rod (For a few exceptions (Yankee fans)), so I'll spare you the nonsensical praise.

I realize it took me about 1 and 1/2 years to get to 400, but I can't post ALL the time. This month is I think the best I've ever done with consistency. Mainly because every day there's been a custom, something that I really never did at all last year, at least I never kept going.

So I just want to thank the 40 people who kept with me through 400. I'm not leaving yet- I've still got a lot of blogging left to do in my life.

Tomorrow- Andrew Bailey will finally get his custom posted. Unless I make a more awesome one, or somebody retires, or something like that. Maybe Andrew Bailey not being posted will be like "Apologies to Matt Damon, we ran out of time"

Tuesday, September 14, 2010

Custom Card of the Day- Adrian Edition

Over in the NL West, it's pretty much opposite of our expectations. The Dodgers are failing, the Giants are hot, the Rockies are okay and the D-Backs...well, they're pretty much where we thought they would be. But no one would predict the Padres this season. Feuled by a little star power and a lot of power, they've been the biggest surprise of the year.

The guy above...he's never a surprise. He's a big, strong hitter whose frequent hit destination is out of the park. He's basically the core, the main reason why the Padres did what they did this summer. And he's an all star pretty much every year now, whether on the roster or no, so defense isn't that bad either for Adrian.

Still, with his help the Padres went places this summer. Of course, with the help of Philadelphia, they'll go somewhere else- back home.

Coming Tomorrow- Another lone star on a good team, this one on a team not as good. Last year's AL Rookie of the Year Andrew Bailey will be tomorrow.

Monday, September 13, 2010

The Wright Stuff

Let's face it, I don't think there are many Mets fans who don't like David Wright. He's the Jeter of the Queens/Flushing area. Beltran, Reyes- all they do is bow to the greatness that is David Wright. I mean, even as I'm not a Mets fan, I still can appreciate Wright. I don't hate him, just like I don't hate the Mets. The Mets have nothing to hate about them, they're just a classy team, and frankly a team with class is not one you hate (Dodgers, Giants, Braves).

But back to David Wright. This action shot might go up there in the Mint Condition Hall of Fame. The shot itself is amazing, but what I did to the shot was even more.

Coming Tomorrow- AAAAADDDDRIIIIAAAAAAANNNNNN!

Sunday, September 12, 2010

Custom Card of the Day- Kemp Edition

This guy should be the real star of the Dodgers. I mean, with Martin, Ethier, Blake, Kershaw and the rest, there is a lot of star power on the team. Then there's this guy. Not even Andre Ethier's monster season could beat Matt Kemp. I think he really deserves most of the publicity he's getting...oh wait, he isn't getting any. The Dodgers are failing miserably this season.

I saw them play on their home turf a few months ago. The whole strong middle of the lineup (Martin, Ethier, Kemp, Blake), didn't do a thing? They just struck out, or flied out. It's safe to say that no matter the star power, the Dodgers can't put it together.

Maybe next year, they'll trade for a huge star, or sign a free agent that they need, and maybe they'll whiz past the Padres, and the Giants. Maybe they'll get the Championship they deserve next year.

And this guy will be a huge part of it.

Coming Tomorrow- This should make some people happy. The Queens/Flushing area's only hope for the playoffs.

Saturday, September 11, 2010

Custom Card of the Day- Pirate Edition

This might be in the Mint Condition Cool Looking Cards Hall of Fame. It captures every bit of Andrew McCutchen's intensity...just like Andrew McCutchen's do rag.

Still, McCutchen is the only interesting thing coming out of Pittsburgh this year. Sure, Evan Meek made the All Star game, but this is Andrew McCutchen. Who cares about Evan Meek? Andrew's rookie cards were highly sought after last year, and it looks like McCutchen might be one of baseball's next big superstars. Let's just hope he's traded.

Tomorrow- Because I have to customize a Dodger who ISN'T Manny Ramirez, we get Matt Kemp.

Friday, September 10, 2010

Custom Card of the Day- Bumgarner Edition

This photo was taken from Monday, July 19th, when the Giants beat the Dodgers in Dodger Stadium.

Why do I bring this up? Because I attended that game, and saw the man above pitch BEAUTIFULLY against those Dodgers. Now keep in mind that this guy is a rookie, and not a lot of people have heard of him. Although I think after this year is over, everyone will have heard of Mr. Bumgarner. Mainly because of his unique name, but also, his pitching.

Of course, the Giants were playing against James McDonald on the mound, so really, it was an easy game to win. But don't tell Bumgarner that!

Coming Tomorrow- The lone star coming out of Pittsburg

Thursday, September 9, 2010

The Obligatory Ichiro Custom

You all knew this one was coming. Ichiro is basically one of the biggest stars in baseball, and I had to make a custom of him. Of course, I did one early last year, back when I wasn't that good at photoshop. Now I'm an expert, and here's an even better Ichiro.

I love that photo, by the way. How he's in mid air jumping for the ball. Few have tried that manuever, and while few have succeeded (Just ask Jose Canseco), mainly only Ken Griffey Jr. has made the leap and catch famous.

So I hope for Ichiro to keep on churning out the hits, and pretty soon he'll be next to Griffey in Cooperstown.

Tomorrow- The Giants have 2 major prospects this year. In hitting, there is Buster Posey. In pitching, there is this guy.

Wednesday, September 8, 2010

Yet Another Manny Ramirez Custom

I remember the last time I made a Manny custom, it was a sweet natured gesture, mainly because he was on the Dodgers, and I have nothing but respect for them. Now he's on the White Sox. Okay everybody, it's safe to make fun of him, now!

It's not that I don't like Manny Ramirez...wait a minute, yeah, that's what it is. I also don't necesarily like making Manny customs. I mean...he's just an aggrivating player, and I feel like it's tiring just to make one.

I've already made 3 Manny customs, 2 this year. I really don't want to make another one.

Coming Tomorrow- Someone that is not Manny Ramirez...but I'm pretty sure you're sick of him too. Ichiro Suzuki.

Tuesday, September 7, 2010

Chippah

Every team has that...monarch. That player on the team that everybody looks up to, and doesn't even try to be better than. The Yankees have Derek Jeter, the Mets have David Wright, the Mariners have Ichiro, and the Cardinals have Pujols.

Then the Braves have this guy. I can think of 29 other teams who are jealous. Because this guy, along with 3 other Atlanta players, ruled the 90's and 2000's. He may not have come up first, and at times I thought he was overshadowed by Maddux and Glavine, but he still powered through.

Now, with his hand needing surgery, it's unlikely that he's come back for the 2011 season. I guess Jason Heyward has big shoes to fill.

If this is your last season Chipper, then goodbye, and see you in Cooperstown. If it isn't, you've got a few years left of wowing Atlanta fans, and I'll still see you in Cooperstown.

(Does this post make me look like a Braves fan? It's not like I'm kissing up, it's simply respect.)

Coming Tomorrow- THIS post will be kissing up. I gotta do a post about a former Red Sock whose socks have turned white.

Monday, September 6, 2010

The other Roy from Philly

When I first found out that Roy Oswalt was traded to the Phillies for a few young stars (and JA Happ), I was surprised. For starters, I was surprised that Roy wanted to leave his homestate, and I was also surprised that the other 28 teams let the 1st place Phillies dig in first.

Of course, the payoff hasn't been surprising at all. Roy has been pitching beautifully for Philadelphia. Him and Halladay have made the best Philly duo since Lenny and Kruk. I'm serious this year in my thinking that the Cy Young award will go to someone named Roy. I don't care which one, but the only notable ones are here in Philly.

Coming Tomorrow- I'll give you one word: Chippah.

Sunday, September 5, 2010

Chicle Crazy, or, I still haven't finished it yet!

I am 108 cards short of finishing up National Chicle (Most of the cards are Rookies, Legends and Short Prints, but so what). I snagged a few Target packs today, let's see what they hold.

106- Todd Helton. Have it.
66- Johan Santana. NEED IT!
26- Rick Porcello. NEED IT!
30- Michael Cuddyer. Have it.
245- Whitey Ford. NEED IT, AND IT'S A YANKEE!!!
198- Michael Saunders. Have it.

191- Chase Utley. NEED IT!
146- Scott Feldman. Have it.
101- Torii Hunter. Have it.
61- Gordon Beckham. Have it.
225- Mike Schmidt. NEED IT, AND IT'S SCHMMMIDDDTY!
213- Paul Molitor. Got it.

252- Duke Snider. Have it.
237- Thurman Munso. Have it.
240- Cy Young- NEED IT!
286- George Sisler on the Cardinals- NEED IT!
208- Luis Aparicio
243- Stan Musial.

I will spare you the details of Pack 4, since it was all doubles. I'll be posting a Chicle wantlist sooner or later, so I won't give up this quest.

Custom Card of the Day- Soriano Edition

I've always been a fan of Alfonso Soriano, mainly because of his days with the Yankees. Of course, he eventually became one of the guys traded for Alex Rodriguez. Usually, when you're traded for a big star, you don't live up to the fame of the guy you were traded for. But Soriano tried. He had a spectacular season in Washington in 06, and he's been doing pretty good for the Cubs. The fact is that he was a great player then, and he's still good after the trade, is pretty special.

Coming Tomorrow- I dunno, I have to make some more. Anyone you, my readers, want to see on a Custom Card?

Card Show: Yo Mammas, Chicle and more

Today, I went to a card show at the local mall. It was a smaller mall, so a lot less tables. I did, however, get quite a bit of cards.

Let's start with the Cards that My Momma threw out. I got Thirteen, THIRTEEN of them from Series 1:
1955 Duke Snider
1956 Luis Aparicio
1957 Frank Robinson
1975 Robin Yount
1979 Ozzie Smith
1985 Doc Gooden
1990 Frank Thomas
1991 Chipper Jones
1992 Manny Ramirez
1997 Pedro Martinez
2003 Kevin YOOOOOOOOukelis
2006 Alex Gordon
2009 Evan Longoria

I still need 18 Yo Mamma cards from Series 1. I also got 6 Yo Mammas from Series 2.

1968 Rod Carew
1971 Frank Robinson
1974 Willie McCovey
1980 Joe "Not Funny" Morgan
1985 Robin Yount

I also got quite a bit of Chicle:
Trevor Cahill, Chipper Jones , Chipper Jones SP, Mike Cameron Frye, Alexei Ramirez, Ubaldo Jiminez, Nick Markakis, Elvis Andrus, Ted Lilly, Grady Sizemore, Yadier Molina, Jason Marquis, Brad Hawpe, Edinson Volquez, Brandon Webb, Daisuke Matsusaka, Carlos Zambrano, Felix Hernandez, Hunter Pence, Marlon Byrd, Joey Votto.

And a lot of 2009 Topps. I;m not going to go into the Topps, it's just Base Cards.

Other stuff I found:

2006 Topps Updates and Highlights:
Carlos Lee, Adrian Gonzalez, BJ Upton, Brandon Phillips, JJ Putz, Jeff Weaver, Aubrey Huff, Livan Hernandez, Milton Bradley, Matt Kemp Rookie, Fernando Rodney, Dioner Navarro
2005 Topps:
Jose Vidro, Livan Hernandez, Scott Rolen, Mark Teixiera, Grady Sizemore, Roy Oswalt, Jake Peavy, Mike Piazza, JD DROOOOOO, Magglio Ordonez, Carlos Delgado.

2009 Goodwin- Ivan Rodriguez, Dennis Eckersley
1994 Topps Curt Schilling
2001 Topps Scott Rolen
2007 UD Future Stars Greg Maddux.

All in all, great show.

The Ryan (Howard) Express

When people ask me what team I root for, I usually say Yankees and Phillies. When people from around here ask me, I say Phillies just so I don't get my ass kicked.

Ryan Howard is this city's idol. He decks them out of the park, he tags them out at first, and he's an all around nice guy. No wonder so many Philly fans love him. Him, Halladay and Oswalt, but mostly him. Being that he's accomplished so much in his 5 years of a career, the next 10 or more are bound to be great for this guy.

Coming Tomorrow- One of my favorite non Yankee non-Philly players...that's stuck in a 100 year rut.

Friday, September 3, 2010

Custom Card of the day- Aroldis Edition

I know, I've done 2 reds in a row. Both were worth is though. Once I found out about this guy's amazing debut performance, I just had to make a custom. This guy has some serious potential (Echoing back to Neftali Feliz last year), and I think Reds fans will be very happy with their postseason experience. I mean, there really is no stopping the Reds...oh, right, yeah, the Yankees.

Coming Tomorrow- What's that? I haven't made a Ryan Howard custom yet?

Thursday, September 2, 2010

Custom Card of the Week- Votto Edition

Admit it, you knew this was coming. Mr. Votto over here was having a monstrous season in Cincinatti, and here comes his custom. Seriously, Votto and friends are powering the reds to a Red Hot season. Votto, Bruce, Aroldis Chapman, Rolen, Cueto... the Reds are definitely heading to a great next few months. And Votto is basically the meat of the hoagie, having a big time season for them, Sports Illustrated cover and everything.

Those Padres better watch out.

Tomorrow- What's that? Some lefty rookie for the Reds's got a 105 mph fastball? I just gotta make a custom of that guy!

The Captain's Orders

I realized quite recently that I hadn't posted a Derek Jeter custom this year, along with a lot of other big stars. Nevertheless, as I just made a bunch of obvious ones in Photoshop, the rest of this week will be "DUH! Week", as you might see other big stars I forgot to customize. Like Stars that are having a tremendous season, stars that I still love even though no longer a Yankee, and, of course, a few Phillies.

Jeter, it's no doubt that he's my favorite player. I mean, to be a hyped superstar that not only lived up to the hype, but one upped it. He's probably going to be a first ballot hall of famer, unless of course a few Red Sox fans are casting blank votes.

Matter of fact, when I was in Williamsport, one of the players in the Challenger league game that I witnessed, I heard that her favorite player was Lance Berkman, and her favorite team was the Yankees. The fact was that she loved Berkman so much, she wanted to root for any team she was on. And when he got traded, she would not just root for a Berkmanless Astros.

I'm saying this because if and when Jeter gets traded, I'll still root for him as a player, because my favorite team will always be the Yankees. But if Jeter is no longer one, I will root for him alone, not the team he's on...unless he's traded to Philly.

Tomorrow- Waddaya mean Joey Votto's having an MVP season? I GOTTA make a custom of dat guy!
