Welp. Apparently not every division series is just gonna be easy enough to end in 3 games.
Not that this is a problem. I love myself a well-matched baseball struggle as much as the next guy, but it's easy enough to get to those 7-game series' that actually matter if those 5-game ones tie themselves up in a knot.
Now, if I were a betting man, I'd predict that the Blue Jays will take the third game and head to the ALCS tonight. I'm not happy with this prediction, but...it's one that's likely.
The Nationals and Dodgers are, thanks to the rain, tied at one after 2 games of NLDS baseball. They've had some nice battles, and surprisingly pitching hasn't been the dominant factor. Like, even Clayton Kershaw and Max Scherzer have gotten runs scored off of them. It just proves that both of these teams are tired of being also-rans. Both of these teams want the gold. And one of them's gonna definitely get some part of it in the NLCS.
The Nats had a great game today, roughing up Rich Hill, and giving JOSE LOBATON, of all people, the game wining homer, as well as some classic stuff from Daniel Murphy and the new super-closer Mark Melancon. It's looking impressive, and it's not looking like an easy Dodgers victory, which is what it looked like two nights ago.
Tonight, Rangers-Jays Game 3. I'd really like to see the Rangers win one, but...the odds are against it.
