Kind of a no-brainer Target purchase. If I'm in the neighborhood, and some card releases are still fresh, I'm getting some. That's how it works.
So I settled on some more Archives, because A.) I'm building the set, and B.) I do enjoy seeing the cards, especially the 81s. And I got a racker of Big League, because...well, I kinda love that set. I didn't expect to enjoy this set as much as I do.
So, let's start with the Archives:
Pack 1-
85- Bert Blyleven. As a Twin. Always a great find in a modern product.
84- Bernie Williams. Yankee great.
46- Warren Spahn. Again, the legends selection in this set is routinely nice.
33- Justin Upton. The 58s, lettering notwithstanding, look pretty alright.
53- Edwin Encarnacion
86- Christian Yelich. This angle looks weird.
113- Robin Count. More legends, now for the 77s. Here...YOUNG YOUNT. Always nice.
117- Bob Feller
141- George Springer. I'll admit, the Springer-stubble is growing on me.
114- DIDI GREGORIUS. Always nice to pull a Didi.
179- Wil Myers. I think this guy's got the Robert Andino effect. He's smiling less and less every year he's in San Diego.
81 Future Stars of the Cardinals guys: Flaherty, Bader, and Alex Mejia, who hasn't made an impact this year, unlike the other 2.
93 Coming Attractions of GLEYBER TORRES. EXCELLENT PULL.
