Ivan, what have you done?

Ivan Rodriguez is one of the best catchers in the game. He is a surefire candidate to get into cooperstown.

Now what the hell is he doing with the Nationals???

Seriously, this is one of the worst teams in the league. Other players have fallen this low, such as Dmitri Young, Austin Kearns, Adam Dunn, Paul Lo Duca- you get the point. I'm just saying-why would someone like the Nationals jump at the sugggestion of signing an aging catcher? Seriously, he has a few years left, but he's not the catcher he was at the beginning of the decade.

Of course, this was just what Wade Boggs did when finishing his career- he signed with the low rate Rays. And we all know how that turned out for him- it only strengthened his HOF-worthy career. So it could go either way- it could go in the direction of Boggs, or the direction of all the other aging players on that team.

In other news, Brad Penny has signed with St. Louis, but who really cares about that?

Welcome Back

Beltre, sit down

DeRosa, go home

Philadelphia has a new 3rd baseman and it's...their old 2nd baseman. Huh, what a twist. Either way, Placido Polanco was a legend with us, and then he moved to Detroit, where he was muddled behind a stellar outfield and star talent from Florida.

I'm pretty sure that the Phillies lineup has certain simularities with a certain film, and that means I have to get customizing.

(As to the film, I'll give you a hint- actually, nevermind, I won't)

That was a close one!

Billy Wagner, the sad, aging closer, avoids a contract with Boston by signing with Atlanta

"Good Heavens," said The Six-Fingered Man, "Are you still trying to win?"
