Matt Ryan is an excellent quarterback, and he's been an excellent quarterback ever since he took over for Michael Vick. He's probably outdone his predecessor in a number of ways, and he got the Falcons to the NFC Championship last year, which was pretty nice.
But, really, the problem with football today, which isn't really a problem per se, is that the game is overstocked with excellent quarterbacks. I can name five on one hand. Manning, Brady, Rodgers, Brees, Manning. I guess Eli's a bit of a stretch, but the other four are consistent, versatile, and elite. Matt Ryan is very close, but he hasn't played long enough, and hasn't gotten enough accolades in the postseason to really register.
I mean, he's great. But this season he needs to really do something big.

I drafted Ryan in my fantasy league... and agree... he needs to do something big this season. The Falcons are loaded and I'd definitely classify their offense as high powered. But you're right... the league is loaded with great QB's. You have...

Colin Kaepernick, RG3, Russell Wilson, Andrew Luck, and Cam Newton (who knows... maybe Tannehill too if he can lead the Dolphins to the post season)
Plus a bunch of guys that depending on the year are in the top 10... possibly top 7 QB's in the league:
Tony Romo, Eli Manning, Ben Roethlisberger, Matt Schaub, Phillip Rivers, and Michael Vick
And then you have Ryan and a few others... who are entering their peak years:
Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco, Sam Bradford, and Andy Dalton
As for Jay Cutler, Alex Smith, and Carson Palmer... they've all made names for themselves... but I just couldn't find a place for them on any of these lists. Although I considered putting them with Romo, Rivers, and Roethlisberger.
