The Right Kind of Triumph

Well, for a matchup featuring two teams that keep getting to the playoffs, this outcome is all I could have hoped for- the Giants beat the Cardinals.

I know it's only Game 1, and the Cards could win the next four for all I know, but I'm just happy the Giants seemed so dominating tonight, especially against Adam Wainwright, one of the best pitchers in the league. Hell, Bumgarner looked really good tonight on the mound. If the rest of the pitching staff turns up like him, they'll be in for a good time.

Tomorrow night, they play the Cards in Game 2. Hopefully they'll win that one too.
