Back to Their Old Tricks

I feared it might not be as simple, but the Yankees took a shaky 1st inning and made some early postseason magic. Didi had a great night, Judge had a great night, David Robertson had a great night, and the Yankees tackled their first postseason rivals in order to advance to the ALDS. Yes, they're going to have to play the Indians, and I wouldn't wish that on my worst ex-girlfriend, but the momentum is there, the team is there, and it'll definitely be a hard-fought battle. Hopefully it'll go a bit better than 2007, too.

As it's respectful to pay respects to the departed...

The Twins has an amazing season, coming from nowhere and making some positive progress when they honestly shouldn't have. They had some great performances, breakouts, but...in the end, they didn't have near enough to compete in October. Also, I'd like to thank Kyle Gibson, who I met and got an autograph from in Spring Training, for not letting signing a bible scripture on a half-Jewish card blogger's baseball be the damning aspect of his season.

Tomorrow we see the NL Wild Card, which, honestly, is a bit harder to predict than this one.
