Custom Card of the Day: Bumgarner Edition

This guy is one of the best pitchers in the NL right now.

The funny part is that five years ago, Bumgarner was the #5 starter. It was Lincecum, Zito, Cain, Vogelsong, and then Bumgarner. Bumgarner had no business being in the same breath as those other guys back in 2010. However, I witnessed one of his first few starts against the Dodgers, and he was really nice, and fueled the fire that become the team's 2010 World Series run.

Now...after the retirement and collapses of those other four guys, Bumgarner has emerged as the top ace in San Fran. And I think that's pretty awesome. So far this year, he's pitched 17 wins, and has had a nice year in terms of ERA and Strikeouts. I think he'll be a candidate for the Cy Young, but with people like Wainwright, Cueto and Kershaw in the mix, it'll be tough for him to garner a lot of support.

Still, he's a great pitcher, and I hope great things keep happening for him.

Coming Tomorrow- The last of the customs I made at home, and what will likely be the last custom of one of the greatest hitters of our time. No, not Jeter, but one of his teammates.

  2. Always thought Bumgarner was looked down with no reason. He deserved more and now he's getting it! And besides that..he's sooooooooo cute!
