NLCS Outcome: This'll Keep the Sportswriters Happy Edition

So...in terms of predictability, a Dodgers-Red Sox World Series is pretty spot on. But for those of you who wanted an original choice, like Milwaukee, for this year's championship...I'm afraid I've got nothing for you.

The Dodgers fought hard, and thanks to the power of Yasiel Puig and Cody Bellinger, they're back where they left off last year, vying for their first World Series win since 1988, which, this being thirty years on, would be one heck of a year to win it all.

As a Yankee fan, I have no choice but to root for the Dodgers in this series. They're a sharp team, they've got some versatility, they've got Manny Machado, and there's a chance they may even let Chase Utley play (albeit a slim one). I sincerely hope they have what it takes to take down the Red Sox this year.

As for the Brewers...these guys came a long way from where people thought they'd be, and they completely owned this year after being screwed out of a playoff spot for the better part of the decade. They had every right to be here, and they had just as much of a chance to land a WS spot as the Dodgers did. Going from a Wild Card hopeful to first-seed in the NL over the course of a fortnight was a nice achievement, and having Christian Yelich, a definite MVP hopeful, playing like he did, even right up to the final moment, was a nice touch as well.

This team's run may not be finished yet. I certainly don't want it to be. I hope they're right back at it next year.

This week...the Red Sox and Dodgers play their first World Series together since Babe Ruth was a pitcher. And it'll be a very tight one.
