Two Hanger Boxes of 2020 Topps Heritage

You know the drill. Heritage is out, I have to buy some. This year is different, because the 1971 Topps design is one of the first ones I can say I know fondly, as my dad had a ton of 71T cards in his collection, passed down to mine. So I know a great deal about this design, and have a lot of connection to it. And now these are the heritage sets we're getting to.

This also means that 2030 Topps Heritage is gonna be 1981 Topps, and that'll be weird, but...let's be honest, the human race probably won't make it that far.

Anyway, 2020 Heritage. I got 2 hanger boxes of the stuff, to be ripped here:

Box #1-
329- World Series Game 3- Zack Greinke. We start off Heritage with a uniform change that should have been noted in Update last year.
273- Gregory Polanco
120- Tony Wolters. Yes, except for the aforementioned kerning, they did this set justice
138- Kyle Seager
290- Ian Desmond.
94- Marco Gonzales. Ah yes, the close up shot that was famous in 71T
22- Julio Teheran, made before he signed with Anaheim
305- Nicky Lopez, another extra close up...in lieu of the posed shots everyone else is getting
255- Brandon Lowe
61- Batting Leaders. I don't usually love these cards, but because they're 71T, they look cool
95- Pedro Severino. Really cool static shot here
102- Astros Rookies. BOOOOOOO
76- Touki Toussaint. Can't wait to see who gets pushed to High Numbers to warrant a spot for this guy. There weren't 6 other Braves that deserved it more?
73- Antonio Senzatela
274- Wilmer Flores (now with San Diego)
115- Cal Quantrill
206- Nats World Series card. As he's central, I'm counting this as a Yan Gomes card
153- Sandy Alcantara
WILLIE MAYS insert of his 4-homer game in 61. I LOVE how these are designed
311- Chris Archer. Very odd he didn't get a posed shot here, as a mid-game action shot is on here. Which is the same he got in last year's Heritage, but that was because he came to Pittsburgh midyear. Interesting.
129- Oscar Mercado
178- Brandon Crawford
151- Jon Gray AND HIS BEARD
353- JP Crawford. The problem with relegating a lot of the star cards to short print status is that the commons just seem very...common. Not a lot of stars so far in this box.
64- RBI leaders
256- Brad Peacock
289- Willy Adames
117- Marcus Stroman. THAT'S RIGHT, A POSED SHOT OF STROMAN AS A MET. POSSIBLY FROM THIS SPRING TRAINING.
299- Cam Gallagher
137- Rio Ruiz, who seems to be one of the Orioles' best performers this spring. No, seriously.
358- MIKE FORD. Looking like he might edge out Voit for the starting 1B spot.
58- Andrew Miller, who seems to be coming down with Steve Blass disease
31- Victor Caratini
371- ADAM HASELEY. Another guy looking at a starting spot on a team I love.
99- Tommy La Stella

Box #2-
323- Edwin Diaz. Hoping he has a better 2020 and doesn't become K-Rod in every way
337- Jake Marisnick. Now with the Mets
181- Solak/Burke Rangers rookies. Yes, there are RANGERS in this set.
386- Dominic Smith, who zinged J.D. Davis REAL GOOD about his involvement in the 2017 Astros debacle yesterday
303- MASAHIRO TANAKA. I love this card.
78- Albert Pujols in a cool action shot.
96- Mitch Garver
242- Michael Lorenzen. In a span of one season, I went from hating this guy for his inconsistency to loving him for his jack-of-all-trades quality. More from this guy, please!
385- Clayton Kershaw. Great card, and yes there are more stars in this pack. I approve.
253- Joe Jimenez and his...pigment-less eyelashes that I regret making fun of.
400- Yadier Molina. ANOTHER great shot.
198- ALCS Game 4, Springer & Correa. BOOOOOOOOO
57- Chris Taylor
266- Delino DeShields. On one hand, YAY RANGERS IN A 2020 TOPPS SET, but on the other, Delino got traded to Cleveland.
84- David Bote
314- Kenta Maeda. Another guy who got traded, but WAY after this set went to press
189- Lance Lynn. HERE'S an actual Ranger
488- Christian Walker, our short print. Not bad.
New Age Performers of...JT REALMUTO. AW YEAH.
36- Kenley Jansen.
284- Mike Minor. Am appreciating all the Rangers in this box.
121- Cubs rookies- Azolay and Nico Hoerner
228- Mike Fiers
9- Donovan Solano
343- Dodgers Rookies of Sborz and Gonsolin. Okay, first of all, Josh Sborz got a card in 2019 Heritage High Numbers. Second, why give Tony Gonsolin a dual card? He's awesome!
40- Joey Votto in a very nice action shot
398- Luis Urias, now on the Brewers
381- Darwinzon Hernandez
67- ERA Leaders
272- Eugenio Suarez, who seems very happy to be sitting on a 49-homer year
247- Royals rookies, including Bubba Starling. So...Darwinzon Hernandez gets his own card but Bubba "I've been in the minors for 6 years' Starling doesn't?
35- Jorge Soler, the other big homer guy
75- JT REALMUTO. NOT BAD.
174- Christian Yelich, yes a lot more stars in this pack.
346- Trey Mancini
207- Travis D'arnaud, now on the Braves

Solid returns from this set. I like this set in general, though a lot of little things piss me off, which is par for the course for Heritage. I did get a nice amount of Yanks and Phils, and some good inserts, so I'm not really complaining.
