Hey there. Fellow Westchester resident here. Just wanted to put in a good word up top and maybe help out my team's chances. You know, because tonight's AL Wild Card game against the Twins may seem like a piece of cake...don't treat it like one. It could easily be a paid vacation day for you and Judge and the boys, but please....you're going to need to try hard tonight.
It may look simple, but the Twins are capable of being dangerous when you least expect it. They may not have much, and they may only be starting Ervin Santana tonight, but he's tougher now than he was with Anaheim. The lineup is full of young guys who can pack a punch. Even if they seem like they snuck in, there is still a chance they could sneak into the playoffs too.
Just...just give it your all tonight, Joe. Don't let your guard down for a second. Sevy may be starting, but anytime you need to pull him for Adam Warren, freaking do so. This is an all-or-nothing game, because the last time we MADE IT-made it into the playoffs, it was 2012, and it may have been our year if we had been playing for November, rather than October 20th.
We have the team. We have the pitching. We have the momentum. You just need to make it happen tonight, Joe. We're all counting on you.
