When I first found out that Roy Oswalt was traded to the Phillies for a few young stars (and JA Happ), I was surprised. For starters, I was surprised that Roy wanted to leave his homestate, and I was also surprised that the other 28 teams let the 1st place Phillies dig in first.
Of course, the payoff hasn't been surprising at all. Roy has been pitching beautifully for Philadelphia. Him and Halladay have made the best Philly duo since Lenny and Kruk. I'm serious this year in my thinking that the Cy Young award will go to someone named Roy. I don't care which one, but the only notable ones are here in Philly.
