Nostalgic Box Break: 1991 Stadium Club Series 2 (Part 3)

We're more than halfway through this nostalgic box of 1991 Stadium Club. Honestly, some of the only problems I have with this set are owed to its collation, and its brief amateur moments- the photography could be great, but sometimes it could be kind of commonplace. It'd be a ways to go until we get to where we were in 1995.

Here, now, the next 9 packs:

 Pack 19-
Dupes: 2/12
Needs: 10/12
Dodgers: 3/12

The Nichols photo is a nice one, as it's got a different background than most 'catcher getting a foul' cards. I love the greenness.
And Dave Martinez' early-90s Expos uniform is also pretty cool. Reminds me of how much I miss the Expos.

Some commonplace photos, though the vivid red of the Bob Tewksbury definitely stands out.
Some team heroes- Brett Butler, rounding out his career in LA, Darryl Strawberry, on his first season in LA, and David Cone, nearly finished in New York.

 Pack 20-
Dupes: 5/12
Needs: 7/12
Not a ton of star highlights here, so uh...Billy Spiers yelling? Craig Wilson over-redding the cameraman?
At least Steve Lake looks cool in those late-80s Phillies uniforms, and at least Todd Stottlemyre's fastball looks good in SC.

 Pack 21-
Dupes: 7/12
Needs: 5/12
World Series heroes: 1/12

An early photo of Joe Carter in Toronto, a cool shot of Gary Gaetti in Minnesota, and a pensive shot of Rafael Belliard, polish off this inconsequential pack.
 Pack 22-
Dupes: 4/12
Needs: 8/12
Padres: 4/12
Scarily Static Shots: 5/12
Guys I Love Collecting: 1/12
Lloyd McClendon looks to the future, and dreams of managing teams right before they get good by someone else's lead. Kevin Wickander's eye-contact must have missed this shot.

Fred McGriff looks so happy to be out of Toronto...now, granted, with this path, he wins one less World Series ring than he would have if he stayed on the Jays, but he's still pretty happy.

Pack 23- Now THIS is Stadium Club photography
Pitchers in Action: 3/12
Catchers in Action: 1/12
Dupes: 4/12
Needs: 8/12
Hall of Famers: 1/12

The Swan one looks like he just realized he forgot his keys. The Fryman just looks awesome. This is either a rookie or something really close for Fryman.

Jamie Quirk catching for Oakland...possibly in the pre-Terry-Steinbach years. And Dennis Eckersley throwing smoke, not too far before the MVP.

 Pack 24-
Dupes: 2/12
Needs: 10/12
Borderline Hall of Famers: 3/12
90s Legends: 1/12

Billy Hatcher, rocking his 90s-Reds uniforms, while Willie Wilson seems happy to be away from his worshippers in Kansas City.

Ron Gant, a few years before his career high season in Cincinnati, making the Braves look good for their 1991 NL pennant.
That Luis Sojo is a cool sideways shot. A shame the guy wouldn't really get his due until his last season, in New York.
Tim Wallach, rounding out his last season or so in Montreal, and Terry Pendleton, going for the MVP.

 Pack 25-
NL East: 5/12
Dupes: 4/12
Needs: 8/12
Herb Winningham and Scott Terry measure this set's ability to mix great action shots with great, dramatic status shots.

George Bell, coming off his great years in Toronto, prepares for a letdown in Chicago. At least this card looks cool.

 Pack 26-
Guys Who Played FOREVER: 2/12
Dupes: 7/12
Needs: 5/12
Hall of Famers: 1/12
RAGS! Yankee legend, playing for a team he'd later become pitching coach for.
And Danny Jackson reporting live from the ground.

Robin Yount, still playing great baseball for Milwaukee, and Charlie Hough, still throwing knuckleballs for the White Sox.

 Pack 27-
Dupes: 8/12
Needs: 4/12

Gary Thurman and Paul Sorrento were the only things close to highlights in this one, but at least Thurman's got a nice bunt photo.

I'll post the last fourth of this in a few days.
